TD Unveils New Aeroplan Credit Cards

TD launched its long-awaited suite of Aeroplan credit cards today.  The line-up includes the TD Aeroplan Visa Infinite card, the TD Aeroplan Visa Platinum card, the TD Aeroplan Visa Infinite Privilege card, and the TD Aeroplan Visa Business card.  Here’s a look at the card details:

TD Aeroplan Visa Infinite

This card offers a welcome bonus of 15,000 Aeroplan Miles and for a limited time, a 2-for-1 flight reward.  It comes with a $120 annual fee and to qualify you’ll need a minimum of $60,000 annual gross personal income or $100,000 annual gross household income.

You could earn up to 45,000 Aeroplan miles in the first year when you spend $2,000 per month – assuming $1,000 per month on groceries, gas, and drug store purchases – including the welcome bonus of 15,000 miles.  That’s enough to get you a round-trip flight to Cancun, Mexico.

TD Aeroplan Visa Platinum

A stripped-down version of the Visa Infinite card, the Aeroplan Visa Platinum card offers a welcome bonus of 10,000 Aeroplan Miles.  It comes with an $89 annual fee and to qualify you’ll need a minimum of $12,000 annual gross personal income.  Here are the card details:

TD Aeroplan Visa Infinite Privilege

A new super-premium offering from TD, the Aeroplan Visa Infinite Privilege card comes with a $399 annual fee and cardholders require a minimum of $200,000 annual gross household income or minimum card spend of $50,000 per year to qualify.  Here’s what you get for the fee:

You could earn up to 58,000 Aeroplan miles in the first year when you spend $2,000 per month – assuming $1,000 per month on groceries, gas, and drug store purchases – including the welcome bonus of 25,000 miles.  That’s enough to redeem for a world class car racing weekend.

Final thoughts

We’ve waited months to see what TD had to offer its newly acquired Aeroplan customers.  Now that they’ve unveiled the suite of cards, expect a huge marketing push in the coming months to lure over new customers.

The welcome bonus offered is a big perk, as is the limited time 2-for-1 flight reward incentive for signing up.
